It's exactly 1 week and 1 day before Thanksgiving Day and the grocery stores are getting busier than ever! Pies, stuffings, green beans -- not to mention the turkey! -- people are going crazy over prepping these. But I mean, they should! If they want their Thanksgiving feast to be bomb ;)
As for me, what am I making for Thanksgiving? Reservations! Not to a restaurant, but to pick up my delicious and wholesome prepped meals at Whole Foods Market!
That's right! If you're like me and you're looking to save a lot of time and energy this holiday season, yet still have an awesome thanksgiving feast, this is for you! What I really like about getting my meals prepared at Whole Foods Market is that I don't have to worry about the quality of the ingredients that are used and the flavors are great too! All that is left for me to do is just focus on spending time with family, which is what it all should be about, right?
Everything from the delicate Brie en Croûte, deviled eggs, to shrimp platters are available for you to order and pick up just in time for your thanksgiving celebration. This year, I'm going with their mini spinach empanadas which are just BOMB!! The roasted garlic chimichurri sauce is EVERYTHING!! For a lighter option, you can also go with their Crudité Bowl with Cauliflower and Mini Peppers which comes with hummus and harissa.
I feel like when it comes holiday feasts, the sides could make or break the meal. And lucky for us, there's plenty to choose from here.
They have a few bread options but I'm going with pull-apart-challah rolls this year! It's fluffy and it's made with cage-free eggs! You can also go with their butterflake dinner rolls, which are divine. Keeping it light for my family, we're getting Green Beans with Crispy Garlic and Cinnamon Dusted Butternut Squash as well!
Now most of the sides that I got (except for the cornbread pecan stuffing) are also part of the Turkey Breast Dinner for 4 combo. Although you can't substitute any item on the combos, you can add any item you desire, à la carte. Again, I'm keeping it light, so we're having turkey breast instead of getting the whole bird ;) But if you're looking to get them, click here. They have ham, turkey, and ribs!
They taste just as good as they look! Ah, my light, wholesome, and delicious thanksgiving feast is complete and it's looking so goooodddd! And I don't even have to do cartwheels in trying to prep it!
In case you're wondering, those green leaves are from the "Green with Envy" bouquet I got at my local Whole Foods Market store. I'm sure you can find something just as pretty at a WFM near you :) Click here for some more holiday feast inspiration.
