It might sound cliche, but there's something about the beginning of a new year that makes people want to make better decisions and get their life together. That's why one of the most popular hashtags on instagram on January 2nd was #Whole30 (30 day-diet involving healthy foods, no starch, no sugar and what-not)! Well I'm not big on diets, but I would love to do more exercise this year, because I have realized that after I stopped breastfeeding, I have gained weight and my cheeks have 'swollen'. So I reached out to my friend, Kami from the Kalon Life to help me do some workouts at home! I'm sure a lot of you would love to do the same :)
More than just a personal trainer, Kami is passionate about empowering women to be confident in a beauty that is more than skin deep (this is actually what the word Kalon means), through fitness and healthy lifestyle. And you can either come visit her at her downtown apartment like I did, or have her come visit you at home (very convenient for mothers!).

Easy right? You can do these moves while you're watching TV with your kiddo at home. A side note before you try them at home, make sure that you're doing each move right to avoid putting undue pressure on certain ligaments which might result an injury.

Same goes with lunges, most of us fail to keep the knees in line with our ankles.
For the Tricep Dips, make sure you keep your elbows in, like the picture on the right :)
