A Last-Minute Visit to Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

Debora Manusama-Sinaga

Summer goes on forever here in Texas, so I had not been in the fall mood until last weekend, when the temperature dropped to 59 degrees, thanks to the 3-day heavy rain. Now that I could wear my sweater, I've started looking for fall-y things to do with J around DFW and found the amazing Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

It's a 30-minute drive from home but it's so worth it! They have all kinds of FREE activities like hay rides, corn maze, and bounce houses with wagons to borrow, drinks/ snow cones/ popcorns to purchase, and tons of picnic tables for you to use. All you need to do to get in is pay $5 per car for parking at the gate. So carpool to save more money!

You can purchase the pumpkins from the mini ones to the huge ones. And if you can't carry them, borrow the wagons for FREE!

J obviously didn't think borrowing a wagon was a good idea.

Here's where you can get some popcorns and pay for your pumpkins.

Oh kids go crazy for these!

And the corn maze. Wish J was big enough to play in it, it looks so fun! Hmm..maybe next year ;)        Absolutely love the wooden teepee!

Whenever you hear the bell rings, get in line for the fun hay ride!

All of your kids' favorite characters are here from Elsa to Veggie Tales!

Oh and even Minions!

The basic stuff like slides are always fun for J. Look at him on the right there!

Drinks that are available for purchase.

At the end of the day, to be honest,  I'd rather pay $5 and enjoy all this than paying $15  admission + $10 parking at Arboretum.  If you havent't been here hurry up! It opens daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until this Saturday!
