I am all about finding something free, educative, and fun to do with J nowadays. Cause staying at home all the time seems to be causing him boredom now that he walks around a lot.Plus, I really don't want him to be sitting in front of the TV for cartoons on the weekend or playing with gadgets all the time (not that I give him any). So I was so excited when we finally got the chance to go to Nasher Sculpture Center's Target First Saturdays.
It usually costs us $10 to get into Nasher, but thanks to Target, it's free on every 1st Saturday of the month. They have a lot of fun activities starting at 10 a.m. including yoga at 11.30 a.m, creative writing at 12 noon, and my favorite which is the outdoor storytime that starts at around 12.30 p.m.
The other awesome stuff that we got to do is the Art Scavenger Hunt where we had to find the title of 5 art works that are all displayed in the Nasher and the artists who created them. These ones were one of the things we needed to find!
For some reason, J was so clingy towards Mr. Man. It's weird, but cute at the same time. He only wanted his daddy the whole time (unless when he's thirsty and wanting some milk). And as I said in the beginning, all J wants to do is walking around. We could hardly take any picture with him cause he would always walk away, especially towards the pond.
We sat at the cafe to have some good chit-chat with our friends Karen and Cesar. Here they serve some good Kids Meal from 11 to 2 p.m.
Their adorable son Ben has quickly become J's best friend. He asks for J all the time, saying "Je-om, Je-om" :) And he even asks for me too! Looking at them playing together got me thinking of having another son soon.
We even got matching boots. Ah...next year another boy? We'll see :)
