Our little family is all about making the most of what we have, and one of the many ways for us to do so is by staycationing. There's something so refreshing about getting away without traveling very far. That's why we have been going on staycations even when we were still living in Jakarta, Indonesia, when J was only 4 months old, before all the sponsorships and views!
It's so fun to experience your city like a tourist every once in a while and to stay at one of the best hotels there that you'd usually pass by on your way somewhere. Especially if it has everything from a pool complex, spa, great restaurants, to a state-of-the-art fitness center in it! Yup, I'm talking about the Hilton Anatole!

Okay since we really love food, let's start with our dining experience.
These photos above were taken at the Media Grill + Bar, Hilton Anatole's casual eatery that serves contemporary American cuisine, including the tender, five spice-seasoned 72-hour Short Rib, crispy Habanero Chicken Wings, and the hearty Salmon Agrodolce with potato puree. So delicious! They also have burgers and chicken tenders for the little ones.
For dessert, we had the Flourless Chocolate Cake with Marshmallows and Pumpkin Cheesecake with White Chocolate. But my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE was the Popcorn Panna Cota! It's sweet, salty, creamy, and crunchy at the same time! Theacidity of the berries on top balanced the whole dish too. What a simply excellent dessert!
The Terrace Brakfast Cafe by the hotel's Atrium is gorgeous, but if you feel like staying in in your pyjamas, order the room service and have a little breakfast in bed! Pancakes, omelettes, bread basket -- you can have them all delivered along with cereals and fresh fruits. But the star of the show for me was definitely the Nutella Stuffed French Toast with Candied Bacon and Strawberries! (and yes, I added extra bacons on the side!).
Now that we got the food covered, let's get to the pool complex!
As you could probably see in the vlog I posted on youtube, the JadeWaters water complex has a splash pool area for the little ones (with tons of free activities for the kids with prizes too!), two giant (180 ft) winding slides, a family-friendly lazy river, and private daybeds and cabanas. I didn't show it in the video, but they also have outdoor movie screening and smores parties throughout the summer. Be sure to check out the schedule here.
Funnel fries, margaritas, fish tacos -- you can order them all (and more) and have them delivered to your seat/cabana/daybed from the Jadewaters Grill + Bar. They have happy hour for both kids and adults, so everybody wins!
If this doesn't put you in a vacay mode, I don't know what does!
